SPEECH PATHOLOGY
Speech Pathologists are trained health professionals who work to support all ages with the development of communication and feeding (e.g. swallowing skills). All Speech Pathologists within Out Loud are registered members of Speech Pathology Australia and participate in our national accreditation scheme. Our Speech Pathologists are supported to attend regular professional development events to ensure that the intervention we offer is current best practice.
Our Speech Pathologists work with children to support:
Speech Sound Development
Understanding and use of language
Social Communication skills (particularly with children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder)
Oro-motor skills
Fluency (Stuttering)
The use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (including Key Word Signing, picture-based communication and the use of communication devices)
